China's steel output hits record high in August

The data released shows that: just in the past August 2019, China's crude steel, pig iron and steel output is still showing rapid growth, and the sequential, year-on-year growth trend.


Specifically, the average daily output of pig iron, crude steel and steel in August was 2.814 million tons, 2.2958 million tons and 3.4319 million tons respectively, up 2.4 percent, 4.2 percent and 0.5 percent respectively.


Pig iron production in August was 71.17 million tons, up 7.1% year on year.The total pig iron output from January to August was 544.71 million tons, up 6.9% year-on-year.Crude steel output was 87.25 million tons, up 9.3% year on year. Crude steel output was 664.87 million tons from January to August, up 9.1% year on year.Steel output was 106.39 million tons, up 9.8% year on year. From January to August, steel output was 803.67 million tons, up 11.0% year on year.


At present, steel price price performance is strong.Relevant price index platform shows that since entering September, steel prices ended the past two months of decline channel, began a small recovery.


Due to the favorable climate in autumn, which is conducive to the development of downstream construction, September is a relatively good season for steel sales, and downstream factors may be the main factors supporting the slight rise in the steel price of this round.At the same time, with the arrival of the National Day festival, the steel mill has been restricted since September.
